    Push For Those Who Can't

Four men. Six hours. No finish line. Every loop we log is for the athletes who never get the chance to run.

Men in the Arena is a brotherhood of men training, serving, and challenging each other to become better leaders. This is the arena we're stepping into.

    Why We Push

    We Run Because They Can't

There are athletes who will never feel a start line under their own feet. Not because they lack the heart, but because their bodies never gave them the choice.

Ainsley's Angels puts them there anyway, pairing runners with athletes with disabilities so everyone can feel the wind of a race. We've pushed alongside them before, and it changed how we see every mile we get to run.

So this fall, four of us are choosing to suffer for the ones who can't. We're raising money to put a racing chair under a new Angel Rider, and we're doing it the hardest way we know how.

    We've Done This Before

At the 2024 Texas Twilight 5K we ran as Angel Runners for athletes with physical and cognitive disabilities. We set a goal of $2,000 and raised $2,010. This time, we're going for a new Angel Rider on the course with a chair of their own.

    What We're Walking Into

This is the day we put our bodies where our mission is. DURUS is a 6-hour endurance race by PAINKLLR, October 10 at The Driveway in Austin. No set distance, no finish line. Six hours on the clock, and you decide how far you're willing to go. Athletes on the sideline never get that choice. We do, so we're using it.

    6 Hours

    No Finish Line

The course grows every two hours. Distance decides. Every loop logged, every mile earned.

    Before You Give

    Before You Give

    What is DURUS?

A 6-hour endurance race by PAINKLLR at The Driveway in Austin, TX on October 10, 2026. No set distance, no finish line. The course changes every two hours and whoever covers the most ground wins. Our four-man relay team is entering to run as far as we possibly can, for this cause.

    Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Men in the Arena is a registered 501(c)(3), so every dollar you give is tax-deductible. Your receipt arrives automatically right after you donate.

    What does $5,250 buy?

An Axiom Racer conversion chair by Adaptive Star, shipping included, purchased through Ainsley's Angels' Chair Grant Program. It runs, and it converts to a bike trailer, so one chair covers an athlete's whole racing life.

How does pledging per mile work?

Tell us your pledge, say $2 per mile. Our relay team covers whatever six hours lets them earn. If they log 40 miles, your donation is $80. We follow up after race day with the final tally.

What if we raise more than $10,000?

More men into more arenas. Race entries, retreat spots, and gear for men working on their mental, physical, and spiritual health through Men in the Arena.

    Who is the athlete?

We're coordinating with Ainsley's Angels on how the chair reaches its rider. As soon as there's a name and a story to share, we'll share it here.
